~The Dance~

Beloved Yogi
Looking back, on the memory of
The dance we shared ‘neath the stars above
For a moment, all the world was right
How could I have known that you’d ever say goodbye
And now, I’m glad I didn’t know the way it all would end,
The way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have chanced it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end,
The way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

I haven't heard this song in such a long time. Okay, I have to ask...did something happen to your precious puppy?

Isn't she precious? A year ago today, she got hit by a car and died. It was very traumatic for me. She was such a good companion and I still miss her. I have another little angel now but days like today still sting a little. Thanks for asking. :o)

Oh my darling Aimee, how I can relate to your pain. I could never have missed the dance with my Gidget. The pain of her loss will stay with me forever. I am glad you have another love and even though he fills your void, you'll always remember your first love.

Blessings,

I love that you've chosen this song to remember sweet Yogi. Alex thinks this is weird but I've always said I would like this song played at my own funeral. It's so beautiful. I still miss my little Yogi. I always will.

No dog will ever replace Yogi. I still miss her too. I love our new babies just as much, but not the same. I can't believe it's been a year already.
